How to share a newsletter via text

Traditional email tools assume the inbox is the only distribution channel. That assumption no longer matches how many people actually communicate. Messaging channels can reach people outside the inbox; results vary by audience.

The problem with email-only distribution

A full HTML newsletter is too long and too complex for SMS or most messaging apps. Even if you could send it, the formatting would break. The only realistic way to share a rich newsletter outside of email is through a link.

Practical ways to distribute the link

1. Direct text or WhatsApp — Send the link with a one-sentence note about what is inside.
2. Short email teaser — Keep the email very short (subject + 2–3 lines + clear button) and link to the full issue.
3. Community channels — Post the link in Slack, Discord, or private groups.
4. Social or internal updates — Share it wherever your audience already pays attention.
